A long day but good all the same... Here is a little peak at the booth. The photo was taken on my iPhone so it isn't the best light. I sure do wish that my iPhone had a flash! Anyway, I had a great schoolhouse lecture...it was packed there wasn't an empty chair. It was really good for my ego... I had been feeling a bit insecure. A typical feeling for me at market... Something that I am working on..

Everything to print..
Well, I think that I have everything off my plate and to print... Gosh I hope so! Only 2 weeks to market.
In the mean time... Teague is sitting up. A few moments of lost balance - especially if he looks up - but for the most part on his own. Wow, time has really flown with him. I have a feeling that crawling is not far away!
Time to get the girls ready for bed!

The sewing begins.....
Things to do with fleece.......
With my new Della Fleece out there are questions on what to do with the fleece. You can put it on backs of quilts for a soft finish.....I personally love to just HEM IT!!! For Christmas this year I made a ton of blankets for family.....I thought that I would pass on the EASY technique or hemming your fleece.
First find some of your favorite fleece at your Local Quilt Shop.....determine the finished size of a blanket and then add 2" to each measurement. For example you want a finished size of 60" x 72" cut the fleece 62" x 74".
Sit down at your machine with a new needle and matching thread. Fold the edge of the fleece 1/2" then 1/2" again and start sewing.
Take your time folding and sewing. When you get to the end sew off the edge, cut your threads, fold the next edge 1/2" and 1/2" again. This will be thick. insert the needle at the edge and slowly stitch through the layers. Continue for all edges and you have a new blanket.......I wrap mine with a funky ribbon for a gift of cozy warmth.
I grabbed the camera today and got a couple of shots of the kids with their blankets.....
They love their blankies.... I did have to bribe Vi with jelly bellies to take the photos. She is SO two and just full of "NO" sass......
Have some fun with the fleece and a quick and easy gift.....

MIA......
Yep, I have been MIA for the past three-ish weeks.....fabric deadline. But it is off in the mail - YEAH! and I am able to breath a bit an move onto the next adventure. I am not sure why I get so self absorbed when I have these deadlines it is not like I don't know they are coming....it just seems like before I know it I only have a couple of weeks to finish. Maybe there is something about the pressure of a deadline that lights a fire under my butt!! Anyway.....with the little man around it does take me a bit longer to get things done. All the nursing and changing and such.....right now he is just so cute with his smiling and cooing. I just want to play with him.
So we finally have the Lucy and Logan patterns in house......
They turned out so cute. I gave one to my niece, Sammy, for Christmas and my brother sent me a video the other day of her playing with it.....so cute. Makes me happy to know that she likes her Lucy.
Well, I have a hungry little man so I must go......more creative things to come!

Thanksgiving......and giving.....
Thanksgiving my favorite holiday......I love getting to see my family, cooking, eating, enjoying time together. We tend to spend Christmas just us so Thanksgiving is when we see everyone. I love it. The kids had so much fun together.....mom and John hosted their first big family gathering in the new house it was perfect....now getting out of our house was an ordeal. Three kids....sometimes I just can't believe it.
Here are some of our Thanksgiving moments.......
Ross got a hold of the camera....here are some of his photos.
Now for the giving part......I have some sample yardage that is waiting for a good home.....Della Flannel, Del Hi Home Dec, even a little Della Fleece.........
Since it is the giving time of year......I will collect emails (you have to send me an email) for the next week. The drawing will commence Monday, December 7th....once the girls get home from daycare. They love to do the picking. I will send out the winners an email on Tuesday.
Have a great day!!!

Del Hi Home Decorator fabric....
I have to first show off some of the family.....little Teague is now a month old. Wow - time has really gone fast. The days blur together - probably due to lack of sleep but also just being busy with the family and starting to get back to the studio. It is amazing how you forget the feeling of only having 2 to 3 hours of sleep at a time then having to be on duty as mom with the girls....but I wouldn't change a thing. The little man is a blessing to our family....
This photo was taken at a photo studio in Bend - Whippersnappers - we have signed up for the first year photos so that we can get images of the family over the next year. This was his two week photo....I just love this shot in Ross' hands.
My little helper.....she loves to hold her little brother. Vi just likes to say hi and then carry on to what she was doing before. She is two!
Now, the Del Hi Home Decorator fabric has arrived in the shop....
We made a Del Hi Henry.......isn't he cute!
And recovered a Ikea chair with some of the fabric. Miss Vi came to the shop one day with me to photograph the chair and new displays that Carolyn has been working on. It was really good for me to take a little time with just Vi. Makes me realize how much I need to do that with both of the girls.
This is the simple little bag that I am doing a pattern for. Paige is getting the pdf together for me and we should have it posted by the end of the week......at least that is my plan. With all of the nursing sometimes I miss calculate time......
Anyway, here are the displays that Carolyn has been doing.
We have a magazine coming to the shop next week to photograph - this coming year is our 35thanniversary. We are very excited to get some magazine articles showcasing our shop. They are also photographing my studio and mom's studio. That stresses me out a bit.....I have been cleaning the stdio so that it is presentable for it's photo shot. I want it to look great! Still have some work to do....
Well, the little man needs to eat....again! As my pediatrician says I am the Dairy Queen!!!!
Have a great day!

36 and counting.......
It is October and I have safely made it to 36+ weeks. YEAH! I am off to the doctor today to see how far I have progressed, with the symptoms I have I should be moving along. He likes to bang his head against my cervix-lovely, my doctor says he is just trying to find his way out. That would be nice I am tired of being pregnant and would really like to meet him and move onto the next part of it all. There is that part of me that remembers that this will be the last time I am pregnant and to enjoy it and quit rushing things along.
I wasn't able to sleep the other night and did the math on how early the girls were - Liv was 30 days early and Vi was 22. Right now I am in the middle of that. There is a lot of anticipation because I just don't know if he is going to wait longer or come any day. I am such a planner and this so throws me off my normal. But this little guy has done this from the beginning so I should not be surprised.
Mom heads off to market this week. She is taking some of my new product to put up in the Free Spirit booth. I have a couple of free patterns that I will get posted soon.....I think I have said that before. With the new Del Hi home dec there there is a cute bag - that takes no time at all to make. For the Della Flannel mom made this great little quilt - perfect for baby. And then I have a new Valori Wells Designs pattern that should be all printed and ready to go by the time the fabric hits the stores it is new stuffed animals - a kitty, Lucy and a dog, Logan. Here is the postcard that mom is taking to market......notice the two bellies....
I am on the left....and Miss Carolyn is on the right - her little boy is due mid December.
Well, off to hang out with the girls until heading to the doctor........
Have a great day!!

So many things going on......
Wow, there is a lot going on here in the studio. Where to start.....Tuesday, I was in the studio and had a very productive day....it started with this quilt that I had been wanting to do based on the PomPom Dahlia. Here is what I have so far....
I am not much of a hand appliquer so I think that I am going to top stitch the petals down and then do some heavy quilting. I want to put this up in our newly painted entry way that is a greyish blue color. It should look pretty cool. It is a test quilt for one that I want to make out of my new Del Hi fabric. As I worked on this I also worked on a fabric design for the fall and a new painting. Here is the painting that I am almost done with.....
I am so excited about it - really a bit obessed to tell you the truth. There are days that I am so easily distracted with all of the different projects and ideas that I flitter around the studio back and forth. I figure as long as something gets done it can't be too bad. Anyway, what is next......My girlfriends little girl turned one last week and we were so privleged to be invited to her birthday.....the girls and I attened as Ross was at a Portland Trail Blazers basketball game. I felt very honored because we were the only people there that were not family. So, for Miss Vaughn's birthday I made her a dress from Amy's book Little Stitches.
Too Cute! I realize that I need to practice my sewing skills, this is my second attempt. I have the other one half ripped out as it needs some help. I had cut out two of them because I figured that Vi would look adorable in the dress - well good thing I did since I totally messed up the first one. I am determined to get better at sewing clothes. The girls need some cute clothes and it sure does save money. Needless to say Andrea and Miss V. loved it. Can't wait to see her in it.
There is more to share but it will have to go into the next time - it is late and I should spend a little time with my hubby. We put the girls to bed and I started another painting and now am doing this post. Hope everyone had an awesome day!!!

sneakpeak.........
I am sending off the Delhi strike-offs for a few corrections and I thought I would give you a sneak peak at the collection. I am really excited about this collection and all of the projects I am going to do. The ideas are flowing.....yeah! It is nice when that happens. Although today is a bit of a frazzeled day....as the past few have been. I think I am a little burned out - but there is still a couple of weeks before out vacation to Hawaii and I have to take advantage of every day I have......aaahhhh I can't wait for the sunny skies and beaches and family time.....ok no more daydreaming - here you go!
This is both colorways - High Desert on the left and Mediterranean on the right.
Hope you like them....
I will end with some photos from the PJ sale that I had promised so long ago......
Mom and I in our GREEN Urban Flannel PJ bottoms.....too cute and we didn't even plan it.

I spent most of the evening sewing together a quilt out of the flannel for a free pattern...I will share as soon as I get the instructions done. That should be Monday - I think....The girls and I went to the Harvest Fair in town today with Mimi (my Mom).....then we had pizza....it was fun. They are such good girls. Ross is at the UofO game (Go Ducks!) he would be proud. I am not really a duck fan but I am not a fanatic sports fan anyway - just neutral for the most part....but I do always cheer for the Oregon teams.
Well, I am rambling....I think am tired - so off to bed...but I must first cuddle with Sophie - my sweet kitty - and finish my wine....
Have a great night! and Day tomorrow.....

Urban Flannels......
AHHH, I thought that I was getting over my cold the last time I wrote but I was wrong......I have now been sick for almost three weeks. I finally went to the doctor and got some antibiotics - I figured that it had been long enough to be sick.I am so tired these days - working late at night and still trying toget in time with the family......I am going to be so happy when some of
these deadlines are done. Burning the candle at both ends is probably part of the problem with getting better. I think I am coming out of it......now I just have cramps!!! Lovely!!!
On a great note I received my sample yardage for the new collection of fabric I have coming out this fall - Urban Flannels.......it is so yummy......
These are some snap shots that I took....I will post all of the designs in a nice clear format soon. I have to get them scanned and the larger ones photographed......I have started working on a couple of free patterns that I will have available....the one above is the Urban Baby - the other one will be an adult size.......I also am getting together a couple of patterns for this fall. I have some stuffed animals pillows with a throw - a cute owl and elephant - and a new quilt pattern. We have to get everything ready for market at the end of the month. The fabric is a little late in delivery but I just have to make it work.
In the mean time I am also working on some new designs for this spring.....it is going to be a surprise!!! You will see soon......
I promised photos from the skirt class and have disappointing news - they didn't turn out. I am going to e-mail all of the girls to have them send me photos.....totally bummed....forgot to reset my camera and the images were all blury......some days I wonder where my head is.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Wow!!!
What a great response to the fabric.....but who doesn't like free fabric!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the kind words...as I have more fabric I will for sure give some away!!!! I love hearing that you are inspired and want to work with my fabric.....always makes me feel good......today is one of those not so confident days!!! I really dislike feeling like that.....but I have to remind myself that it is just a day and that it is important to have bad days to enjoy the good days...!!! Right?!?!
Have a great day!
