Tucked just beneath the surface of everyday life is a world woven from memory, emotion, and metaphor — a place I call The Crow Café.
The crows began as paintings, but somewhere along the way they became emotional portraits: protectors, observers, mirrors, companions. Each carries a piece of the human experience - grief, joy, belonging, sovereignty, curiosity, tenderness, fire.
Come meet the crows.
The Original Patrons
These are the paintings that built the Crow Cafe'. Larger than life, layered, and full of story, each arrived with a distinct personality and role - some fierce, some tender, some wise, some a little unruly. Together, they became the first patrons of this strange little world.
Crow portraits
The Crow Portraits bring that world in closer. Smaller in scale and more intimate, they give me room to explore expression, gesture, texture, pattern, color and personality.
Each one is still and emotional portrait disguised as a crow, one feathery face at a time.
This world is still unfolding.
Come back soon to meet more of the crows, explore their stories, and see what arrives next.
